Electronics Design Engineer
Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of electronics for new high performance MEMS based opto-electronic sensors with applications in industrial and military markets. Focus will be developing low power high performance control electronics at the PCB level. Experience with micro-controllers, CPLD, and FPGA development is required. ASIC conversion experience is a plus. Familiarity with high resolution data converters for applications in audio, digital signal processing, and opto-electronics is also desirable.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred
- Board level circuit design experience
- Closed loop electronics control
- Embedded SW development: C, VHDL
- Digital signal processing
- Strong organization and communications skills for interaction with multidisciplinary internal groups
- U.S. citizenship
Desirable
- MEMS experience
- Experience with MultiSim, Labview, and Matlab

MEMS Design Engineer
Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical and optical design, modeling, and simulation of inertial MEMS devices and packages including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis (CFD). He or she will also be responsible for mask layout and project management.
- Optimize existing MEMS devices through modeling and simulation efforts
- Create next generation transducers from concept through design optimization for yield enhancement
- Analyze and report on mechanical, optical, and thermal properties of MEMS transducers, subassembly components, and packaged parts
- Layout changes to existing mask sets and create new masks sets
- Develop MEMS equivalent circuit models for incorporation with system simulation efforts
Requirements
- Master and/or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or Physics.
- 2-5 years MEMS design experience
- Proficiency with FEA simulation tools such as Comsol or ANSYS
- Experience in CFD modeling and simulation
- Experience using SolidWorks
- Optics experience preferred
- Project management experience preferred
- Strong organization and communications skills for interaction with multidisciplinary internal groups and external vendor management
- Green Card or U.S. Citizenship Required

Test Technician
Summary
The successful candidate will be part of the Test/Systems Engineering team and will be responsible for test and characterization of inertial optoelectronic MEMS devices. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: (1) digital and analog electrical, optical, and mechanical characterization of sensors and system subcomponents; (2) test hardware assembly & validation; (3) reliability testing of sensors
- Analyze, test, and report on VCSEL’s, LED’s, photo diodes, heater, temperature sensors
- Analyze, test, and report on accelerometers, gyros, etc.
- Document test protocols
- Assemble, validate, and document test stations
- Assemble & test printed circuit board assemblies
- Perform gauge capability studies
- Perform qualification and ongoing reliability screening of sensors
- Perform failure analysis with internal resources and external vendors
- Train other technicians
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Engineering
- 2-5 years semiconductor, RF, MEMS, and/or optical test experience
- Strong organization and communications skills for interaction with multidisciplinary internal groups
- Optoelectronics experience preferred
- Labview experience preferred
- PCB layout or schematic capture experience preferred
